What Do CVIP Inspections Cover

Safety Systems

CVIP inspections cover a lot, but the priority is and always will be safety systems. This includes anything that keeps the driver and everyone else on the road safe. For example, if your brakes, steering, lighting systems, or even your suspension aren’t working correctly, you will fail the inspection. Each system keeps drivers safe in its own way and must be fully operational and maintained well. Other safety systems include your airbags, your seatbelts, and your reflective indicators.

Safety Gear

CVIP inspections require you to carry certain gear that ensures your safety. This equipment includes fire extinguishers, reflective pylons, road triangles, first aid equipment, and extra fuses. If you are missing any of this equipment, you may fail the CVIP inspection. Not sure if your equipment meets CVIP requirements? Give us a call, and we’ll go over everything with you.
